About the role
The aim of this role is to promote strategic coherence, planning, and integration within Customer Operations, guaranteeing the smooth execution of both strategic and operational initiatives.
This position is vital in enhancing cross-departmental processes, overseeing performance, and establishing operational resilience to fulfil regulatory and business goals.
It provides guidance and coordination for major operational transformations and ongoing improvement efforts that fall outside traditional project or change management frameworks, ensuring alignment with TSB’s 2030 Strategy.

In this role, you can expect to:
- Direct the creation and governance of a cohesive strategy for Customer Operations, ensuring that operational initiatives correspond with business priorities and goals.
- Oversee the systematic planning and execution of operational modifications, maturity enhancements, and continuous improvement efforts
- Promote cross-departmental alignment, operational resilience, and ongoing improvement to ensure Customer Operations can adapt and progress to satisfy future business requirements
- Proactively identify and address operational risks, compliance responsibilities, and process enhancements
- Maintain oversight of high-risk operational challenges, ensuring prompt and effective resolution while identifying and addressing the underlying causes of issues and implementing sustainable solutions that enhance efficiency and customer results
- Serve as the main link between Operations, Financial Crime Compliance, Technology, Risk, and Enterprise Change Delivery teams, ensuring coherence and a unified response to regulatory and operational adjustments
- Cultivate a cooperative, high-performance culture, empowering teams to effectively execute operational initiatives
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A relevant higher education qualification in business, commerce, risk, or a related area.
- Over 10 years of experience in operations strategy, business transformation, or service delivery leadership (preferably within financial services) at a senior level.
- Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives, with experience managing or leading significant projects that have a broad impact on operational results.
- Strong knowledge in operational integration, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the capacity to effectively engage and influence at all management levels.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a history of driving operational efficiencies.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to delegate effectively, influence others, and interact at all levels, including with the Board.
