About the role
You will be responsible for designing, constructing, and overseeing TSB’s data framework. This position plays a vital role in building a robust foundation for data governance within an organization, making certain that data is structured, accessible, secure, and in line with business goals by creating and maintaining data architectures, models, and policies.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Analyse and execute significant strategic plans that enhance data integration, data quality, and data delivery to support business initiatives and plans.
- Design the structures and organizes data systems, including databases, warehouses, and lakes.
- Select and Implements database management systems that satisfy TSB’s requirements by defining data schemas, optimizing data storage, and setting up data access controls and security protocols.
- Establish and execute the long-term technology strategy and innovation roadmaps across analytics, data engineering, and data platforms.
- Create and implement processes for the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations from various sources into the organization’s data systems.
- Transform broad business requirements into data models along with suitable metadata, test data, and standards for data quality.
- Engage positively with senior business stakeholders to ensure strong involvement and confirms that project delivery aligns with long-term strategic plans.
- Streamline the existing data architecture, providing reusable services and cost-saving opportunities in accordance with company policies and standards.
- Lead and participate in the peer review and quality assurance of project architectural documents across the EA group through governance forums.
- Establish and oversee standards, guidelines, and processes to guarantee data quality.
- Collaborate with IT teams, business analysts, and data analytics teams to grasp data consumers’ needs and create solutions. Evaluate and suggest emerging technologies for data management, storage, and analytics.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the design and execution of data models for enterprise data warehouse projects.
- Experience in leading initiatives related to data warehousing, data modelling, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in design using Azure Databricks, Python, Bicep, and Power BI/Tableau.
