About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for technical leadership in our Core Banking Platform as a Principal Software Engineer.
- We are seeking an experienced senior JADE Developer in enterprise-grade applications who will be strong a candidate for our Core Banking platform opportunity. However, if you are a strong technology leader and you are looking for your next challenge with a new team in a new code base we want to hear from you.
- As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining business applications within your platform scope, including integrating these with our internal systems and solutions from external partners.
- You will collaborate with agile, cross-functional teams to continuously enhance our software applications and services, making sure they are reliable, scalable, secure, and support our organisations success.
- As a principle engineer, you will promote and lead a DevOps culture, emphasising the shared responsibility for both development and operations, and take a leading role in our Communities of Practice to develop our engineering capability and standards
In this role, you can expect to:
- Overseeing and contributing to the creation, development, and deployment of enhancements to our core Jade banking platform, following architectural and development standards and best practices
- Be a thought leader, facilitator and mentor in the delivery of change in the Jade domain
- Supporting the ongoing enhancement of our current Core Banking platform, applications, services
- Contributing to the planning, definition, and execution of project schedules, focusing on delivering business value, including technical delivery and design considerations.
- Ensuring that security, performance, and data integrity standards are maintained across the team, staying informed about current security issues, application and guidelines, and addressing security issues before services are deployed.
- Monitoring and managing applications, environments, services, and platforms to ensure they meet their service level agreements (SLAs).
- Addressing system incidents and issues to ensure they meet their SLAs.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- 4+ years’ experience as a Principal or Senior Software Engineer, developing applications or services in JADE, or you are a seasoned tech lead with Java, or Smalltalk, experience and you are looking for your next challenge to dive into a new language and domain, applying your skills and craft in a new way.
- Working within an agile software development framework
- Supporting enterprise-grade applications and web-enabled services in highly available environments
- Operational Support in 24x7 technology service environment experience
