About the role
The Senior External Communications Advisor works closely with the Head of Corporate Affairs as part of the People and Strategy team. The role is responsible for creating and delivering effective and engaging external communications, that will help maintain a strong reputation for our customers and community.
Who are you?
You are someone who puts a strategic lens across everything, you excel in building relationships at all levels, are a highly competent copywriter and reviewer and are confident interpreting and simplifying technical information.
You are always considering all stakeholders to ensure information is communicated effectively and appropriately to a variety of target audiences.
You are experienced in developing and implementing external communications strategies and are comfortable representing TSB externally, particularly as the lead for media relations and PR and media queries.
You will bring to the role a can-do attitude, quick thinking and execution skills, as well as a passion for your work and being part of a collaborative and supportive team.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Build and maintain an engaging and reputation enhancing media presence.
- Provide support to the CEO and executive leadership team for external communications and engagements.
- Lead external reporting for the organisation including the Annual Report and Climate Statement.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- At least 5-10 years in a media relations, journalist or communications role.
- Have previously worked within a complex corporate environment.
- Experience developing and implementing external communications strategies.
