Join our exciting Line 1 Risk Centre of Excellence team as a Senior Risk Business Partner on a fixed-term basis for 16 hours a week and work closely with the senior leadership team of a dedicated business unit within TSB providing Line 1 risk and compliance support. 

You will be instrumental in facilitating the implementation and operations of our risk and compliance framework, including setting the business unit up with risk reporting, and risk monitoring strategies that they can rely on and progress forward with, which will be pivotal in assisting with uplifting TSB’s risk and compliance culture. 

This is an opportunity to make an impact as you will be working closely with senior leaders to develop the risk maturity within your allocated business unit and assist the work of the whole team supporting our Three Lines of Accountability and helping TSB deliver its profit for purpose.  

We require a specialist with a strong set of risk-based skills and experience. Your knowledge of risk frameworks and relevant compliance obligations in a regulatory environment will be beneficial in ensuring a solution focused approach. This position offers great flexibility, meaning you can balance work and your other commitments and/or enjoy being part of a team whilst completing other contract work. 

This role can be based anywhere but if outside Taranaki, it will require limited travel to New Plymouth.  We are a flexible team who live in and work from various cities across New Zealand. We have a strong team culture and make the most of our virtual tools to connect and deliver risk support to the business. 

If you have the following, then we’d love to hear from you:

  • Experience in risk within a banking or financial services environment, both as an employee or in a consultancy capacity.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, accounting, IT, HR 
  • Expertise in managing teams, projects, or transformation workstreams in governance, risk, and compliance settings
  • Well-developed facilitation, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Experience in creating and delivering to the wider business, policies, and compliance programmes
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and critical thinking
