It’s an exciting time to join our team as Technical Lead. We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running as a member of the Technology Solutions team, spending most of their time in an agile team (Tribe or Platform) working with stakeholders to design and build the best solutions to meet the needs of TSB’s customers. A background and experience in a a technical leadership & software engineering role and having awareness and experience of agile architecture frameworks, documentation and modelling will be key to your ability delivering effective outcomes.

Specific areas of responsibility will include:

  • Working with stakeholders such as product owners, engineers and business owners to design and build the best solutions.
  • Understand business goals and requirements and translate these into executable, future-fit solutions
  • Support the continuous  operation and improvement of TSB’s solution governance processes.
  • Ensuring that detailed technical design decisions are undertaken by contributing to developing the architecture principles and overseeing      their execution
  • Contribute to the commercial evaluation and selection of third-party solutions, including membership of RFP teams, contract review and ongoing due diligence.
  • Take ownership of allocated work or initiatives and deliver these  on time and within quality expectations
  • Identifying industry tools that are fit for purpose and championing  their adoption, providing technical guidance and recommendations to the      team and business.
  • Work closely with technology leaders and the EPMO (Enterprise Project Management Office) to implement the right solutions at the right      time to help TSB support our customers.

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 5+ years’ experience in software engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
  • Have awareness and experience of agile architecture frameworks, documentation and modelling.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation. Proven ability as a strong leader
