About the role

The Non-Financial Risk Lead will support the Senior Manager Non-Financial Risk to develop, refine and implement standards to enable the effective management of Non-Financial Risk at TSB.

This role will be a champion of Line 2 risk management and collaborate across functions, gaining in depth understanding of the business environment and providing advice on the operational risk, regulatory and compliance requirements.

Who are you?

You will have a good understanding of regulatory risk management practices and current regulatory trends in the banking/financial services sector.

Your ability to build collaborative relationships across all teams and levels is important to enable to enable effective integration across three lines of accountability and alignment with the requirements of relative risk management policies and standards.

You will have strong focus on attention to detail and critical thinking capability, as will be responsible to translate business and risk strategic objectives towards common and collaborative outcomes.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Review processes and areas to identify waste and opportunities to improve and realise potential benefits.
  • Work with Technology teams to identify potential automation/other Technology change opportunities.
  • Engage with the business and through projects, coaching, training and facilitating to build a culture of business simplification.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • 5+ years' work experience in risk within financial services or other highly regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Operational Risk frameworks and processes, risk reporting and systems.
  • Experience in Line 2 assurance practices.
